Stamp Club make-n-takes

I decided to mix up our stamp club a little and teach the girls how to create a scrapbook layout. I enjoy making layouts simply because I enjoy interior design and I always think of a layout like a room I am designing. The girls had a great time and in honor of May being Scrapbook Month, I am going to add a layout class. Layouts are a perfect way to use up your scraps of paper and extra embellishments. Speaking of paper, the one used is the new SU Summer Smooches offered only this month along with the matching ribbons, card stock, and fabric brads. We used the Big Shot Bigz die for the rosette and that was fun. Shannon Jones of creative memories sells the black 12x12 frames and said she would give everyone in stamp club a 15% discount if you wanted one.

Now, I just need to get a pic printed and I am set for spring with the layout that is framed!

Gift Card Boxes for Moppet Workers

I decided our Target gift cards needed a little something extra instead of an envelope so I designed the box you see using SU's top note die...another one of my favs. I invited some mops girls over to help and together we created something unique and totally reusable. We had a great time and I appreciated the help from the girls. All in all, we made 40 of these boxes!

Stamp Club make and takes

March stamp club was full of new tips, tricks and tools. First, everyone learned how to score using our Simply Scored Scoring tool & stylus. We scored every 3/4" six times. Next, we used the Lace Ribbon Border punch and adhered it to paper from the Spring Fever Collection. Using the Mixed Bunch stamp set we stamped a flower and used the coordinating punch to punch out two flowers for the ends of the treat box. The crop-a-dile was useful in punching evenly spaced holes on either side of the box while we tied knots into Melon Mambo polka dotted ribbon to create a handle. Lastly, we used the decorative label punch and the Boho Blossoms punch to make a tag. A stampin dimensional create the lift under the stacked flowers and hemp twine was used to adhere to the box. Perfect to fill with treats, candies, or money.

The next project included more colors from the Spring Fever collection of papers. The Framelits were used along with the Big Shot to cut out two different sized frames. We used the Beautiful Butterflies die cut to cut two butterflies and secured them together with a safety pen and Basic Gray 5/8" satin ribbon tied in a knot to finish the look. Sweetly Said stamp set provided the sentiment and of course, we used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder on the melon mambo framelit. The envelope flap was also embossed:)

Colors used: Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight, & Whisper White
